After watching and reading the hunger games and catching fire I felt that I was prepared for this film, but it was a lot more violent than the previous two.
The opening scene still baffles me as it was never explained, if you have seen it then I am sure you can relate to me. But amidst the graphic violence and merciless killing there was good sound and visual effects. I felt that this film didn't need to be made into 2 parts, as the 2 hours of Mockingjay just comprised of associating the Capitol as the villain and exposing it, which was done in the first two films. Well the advantage is that the crew and cast will make a whole lot more of money. So please question yourself while viewing the film, why idolise a teenage girl who just kills as mercilessly, innocent people as much as President Snow. I mean snow kills people if they become associated with the Mockingjay but then katniss kills people who are associated with the Capitol..... Makes no sense.
Neither does the fact that katniss is symbolised with the bow and arrow but she only uses it once in the film to yet again kill more people.
Dir. Francis Lawrence
Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Julianne Moore, Sam Claflin etc...
Rating: 5/10
